GE Healthcare launches Versana Essential ultrasound system

GE Healthcare has announced the launch of Versana Essential, a new ultrasound system developed for a range of medical applications.
Combining high-end image quality with advanced yet easy-to-use features, the device is designed to deliver broad functionality for medical professionals from obstetrics and gynaecology to GPs and family doctors, for an affordable price.

Tools such as the Whizz one-touch dynamic image optimisation and Auto IMT measurement features allow clinicians to focus on the needs of their patients rather than adjusting parameters.
Overall, it is hoped that Versana Essential results in fewer referrals to more costly facilities for diagnosis, while bolstering patient confidence in their primary care providers. Flexible financing options will be offered by the manufacturer to make the system easy to own.
